New Features in 4.3

We continually work to improve Collage. In Q3 2018, we added these new features and enhancements.

Collage Notes on the Engraver

Enter text in Collage's Job Notes and the engraver operator can see them on the engraver. Notes are for the job, not the individual cylinders. Character limit 1024.

Test Cuts

Test cut values can be entered in Collage's Cylinder Geometry page, including positioning information. Values are downloaded with the Collage job. Here is a video that explains this in more detail.

Sequence Engraving

"Over-Engraving" is also called "Sequence Engraving." Collage's Gravure Parameters Color Sequence page allows you to define an Over-Engrave group. Only the first cylinder of a group is available to be dowloaded to the engraver, and all cylinders in the group are downloaded together. Registration of cylinders in a group are ensured by the locked positional data. Read more here

Hybrid Enhancements

Using Hybrid in Collage is easier. Most people never need the Hybrid Edge settings, so you can hide them, using User Preferences.

Enhanced Hell Output Support

More Hell features are now supported, including Job ticket creation and Xtreme engraving. All have been added to the Defaults Editor and the User Preferences. The optional Collage Hell Output module is all that you need for a mixed OHIO and Hell shop. Learn more

Hell Match and DTG Match

This is an optional feature to engrave cylinders on a Spectrum or Prism Prime that exactly emulate Hell screening such that OHIO and Hell cylinders can be mixed without moirè. Learn more
